Over £10,ooo was raised for charity by Ryan Lowry’s family and friends who took part in a 100km bike ride across Cheshire, finishing at the Oulton Park circuit on Saturday 5th September. Ryan’s legacy is of course this race series which lives on, going from strength to strength.
British GT are now mandating their personnel wear masks in the following working areas: Paddock, Garages, Pit Lane, Pit Wall, Grid, Podium, Parc Ferme, Scrutineering, Pirelli awning, in any enclosed space – in race control building, SRO office, SRO Club. And in any other situation where social distancing of 2m may not be possible. A balaclava is considered a face covering where nose and mouth are covered.
As the support series will be coming into the inner paddock/assembly area/pit lane, it has been requested in the interests of consistency that we mandate masks for the support series personnel at all times in the inner (GP) paddock, for the protection of all involved and, importantly, for what will be seen on the live TV streaming.
As a reminder, the pit wall must only be used for messaging purposes and NOT for general spectating/timing. Team members may be removed from the pit wall if they are not complying with the guidelines.
